Lyn Gala

One writer's journal through one version of reality

Lyn Gala started writing in the back of her science notebook in third grade and hasn’t stopped since. Westerns starring men with shady pasts gave way to science fiction with questionable protagonists, which eventually became any story with a morally ambiguous character. Even the purest heroes have pain and loss and darkness in their hearts, and that’s where she likes to find her stories. Her characters seek to better themselves and find the happy (or happier) ending.

When she isn’t writing, Lyn Gala teaches history in a small town in New Mexico. Her favorite spot to write is a flat rock under a wide tree on the edge of the open desert where her dog can terrorize local wildlife. Writing in a wide range of genres, she often gravitates back to adventure and BDSM, stories about men in search of true love and a way to bring some criminal to justice… unless they happen to be the criminal.

  1. Hi Lyn,

I just read your post about being a third tier writer and I have to say I enjoy your books. I almost always enjoy your books but I will say I sometimes have to be in a certain mood to really appreciate and enjoy some of them. The darker police procedure you mentioned will be a book I buy, but probably not until I’m in a certain mood. Based off your past books, I’m about 95% sure I’ll really like it. I do LOVE the Claimings series. I reread it every few months and I anxiously look forward to the next one. I check your website every month or so to see if there is news on the next book. I can’t wait to see what trades Ondry makes with the Imshee to extend Liam’s life. I have thoroughly enjoyed the series and every time I read it I think of how creative and original it is. And I actually prefer the second book over the first. I didn’t actually know it released for the longest time and happened to come across it on ARe- that’s when I started following your website. Do you have an email list I could join for new release email list I could join? I look forward to reading your future books.

    • Thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoy the stories. I wish I had an email list, but I am horrible at keeping track of anything, so I try to avoid setting up systems that I know I’m going to forget three months from now. I certainly don’t remember to update or even check my wordpress. Anyway, you can find any info on what I’m doing on Facebook:

  2. Was looking to find if you had a newsletter and if so how to sign up
